Penthouses, private spaces, architecture, interior designs, notable guests, colorful histories-we'll see it all. Some areas of the hotels are not open to the public. Our New York City historian, Joyce Gold will be our tour guide. Visit: The Plaza- built in 1907 by Henry Hardenbergh, Solomon Guggenheim lived here as well as F. Scott Fitzgerald, George M. Cohen and the Beatles. The Waldorf Astoria- Cole Porter lived here and his flower-adorned piano is in the Waldorf Tower. Built in 1931 by Schultze and Weaver, this art-deco masterpiece epitomizes the life in NYC in the 1930's. The New York Palace- built in 1960 by Emery Roth and Sons. See valuable pieces of art and frescoes from the gilded age. The Four Seasons- built in 1993 by Pei Cobb Freed has 367 gorgeous hotel rooms. We'll have fun seeing this posh hotel. There will be time to shop after our tour. Dinner is served at Da Rosina. Included: Deluxe Motor coach transportation, all admissions, guided tours, dinner, wine, cheeses and soft drinks.
